![]() ![]() Very weak defenses: The defensive buildings in the game are extremely weak and easily defeated. All you really have to "tech up" is increasing your supply limit, resource storage, and slight bonuses to your units' power that quickly gets prohibitively expensive.ĥ. Lack of any sort of tech tree: The tech "tree", such that it is, is extremely limited. You can successfully play the game (and win) without building any dreadnoughts by just spamming the right composition of cruisers and managing resources well.Ĥ. Lack of hero units: The closest we come to any sort of capital ship are the dreadnoughts, and even they aren't that interesting. Seems to be that the sounds play when the units get within your camera's field of view. The sounds spam again and again if you move your camera away from the units then back onto them. Spammy, repetitive sounds: you hear a lot of the same sounds over and over again. There's very little interactivity with the map other than resource points.Ģ. The model designs are all generic, boring RTS units we've seen over and over, decade after decade. Aesthetic: None of the units look especially epic or interesting. I've been playing the game a while and thinking about what about it bothers me, so now that I've had time to think, here are my thoughts condensed:ġ. Anyways, thanks for the info, hopefully next time I can try what you guys suggest. ![]() It was my first game, with only very minimal experience prior to that, so I guess I can't expect to know how to do everything. With the main planet in my main view, I also had the planet I wanted to go to in the bottom corner of my screen, so that I could actually view the orbiting planets surface up close, I know I tried right clicking on it during the game, and my astraeus did not attempt to move there. ![]() It felt like I just zoomed out incessantly until it was forced to system view, but then I did that multiple times before and it didn't go to system view. I'm not really sure how I got to the system view that one time either. Maybe that's why I couldn't just simply right-click on it? lol. I was trying to zoom in/focus on the other planet and never could. I made it out to the system view once, and when I zoomed back in it was on the main planet again. I tried simply right-clicking on the planet several times as it orbited our main planet, but I guess I wasn't "focused" on it properly. I think my problem, then, was that I don't think I was ever able to properly zoom in/focus on the other planet to the games satisfaction (to the point where it would let me right-click on it). ![]()
